The "Classic" Way to Prep
Classrooms may remind you of school, but in Princeton Review SAT II classes the feeling is different. You're in a friendly, supportive place where everyone has the same goal: to beat the test.
SAT II Classroom Option
Classroom Courses are available for the following SAT II Subject Tests*:

Math IC, Math IIC, Physics, Chemistry, Biology

Mathematics Subject Tests
Math Level IC

Mathematics Level IC is a broad survey test intended for students who have taken three years of college-prep math: two years of algebra and one year of geometry.
Anticipated Skills
You're not expected to have studied every topic on the test, but you should anticipate the following:

  • algebra
  • geometry (plane Euclidean, three-dimensional, and coordinate)
  • basic trigonometry
  • algebraic functions
  • elementary statistics, including probability, counting problems, data interpretation, and mean, median, and mode
  • miscellaneous topics, including logic, elementary number theory, and arithmetic and geometric sequences

Calculator Use

The Math Level IC test is an hour long and has 50 multiple-choice questions. It's NOT necessary to use a calculator to solve every question on the Level IC, so it's important to know when and how to use one. For about 60 percent of the questions, there's no advantage, perhaps even a disadvantage, to using a calculator. For about 40 percent of the questions, a calculator may be useful or necessary.
If you're comfortable with both a scientific and graphing calculator, you should bring a graphing calculator. A graphing calculator may provide an advantage over a scientific calculator on some questions. Read more about acceptable calculators
Math Level IIC

Mathematics Level IIC is a broad survey test intended for students who have taken college-prep math for more than three years: two years of algebra, one year of geometry, and elementary functions (precalculus) and/or trigonometry.
Anticipated Skills
You're not expected to have studied every topic on the test, but you should anticipate the following:

  • algebra
  • geometry (three-dimensional and coordinate)
  • trigonometry
  • functions
  • statistics, including probability, permutations, and combinations
  • miscellaneous topics, including logic and proof, elementary number theory, sequences, and limits
